The Beauty Of Nature With Smiling Spring Flowers

The flowers adorn the outdoor spaces.

During the Easter weekend, my niece was getting married. My cousin requested all of us to come to Rishikesh and bless her daughter.

Her daughter, my niece was stationed in London and was on leave for her own wedding.

My brother asked me if I would like to accompany him and his wife Mona to the wedding in Rishikesh. I was thrilled and I immediately agreed to go.

We took a road trip from Delhi. We left by 6.45 AM. Three of us were charged with morning energy. We were enjoying nature while driving. We saw the morning sunrise and looked at the sugarcane fields and the interesting flora and fauna on the way.

On the way, we saw a lot of vendors selling big beautiful strawberries and wanted to go to the strawberry fields but we also had to reach our destination so we quit going there. Instead, we bought strawberries.

Then we stopped at Cheetal for breakfast. What a busy place. There were cars galore in abundance. We found a place to park in.

I was amazed at the number of people eating breakfast and the fast service they provided us.

We were greeted by an amazing riot of colors. Did I expect to see this? No, I never knew that we would witness this lovely garden of flowers here. The picture above displays so many colors of petunias.🤚🏽

The red and white petunias were amazing.🤚🏽 They brightened the whole garden. We felt one with nature with these smiling flowers. Looking at the flowers I felt that-

“A flower does not use words to announce its arrival to the world; it just blooms.” — Matshona Dhliwayo

The petunias were most beautiful but they also had a lot of phlox in their garden.👇🏽

The phlox was in colors pink and shades of mauve and purple. They just peeped out and smiled at us. I could not help greeting them and telling them how special they looked with the petunias. Flowers are complementary and enjoy being together.

While leaving I saw many flower pots of pansies but they were not as pretty as the petunias and phlox.👇🏽

They were a little tired of smiling I felt and they forced a smile at us because they did not want us to leave there disappointed.

The pansies were wilting away because of the weather conditions. The day it is hot they show that they are feeling hot by expressing their displeasure. They were completely close but at least when we visited they were still half open.

We were on our way again and saw the scenery around us. We were again ready to admire Natratiums and so many silver dust plants. 👇🏽

I had especially bought a silver dust plant in Delhi but it did not survive as it was not accustomed to the weather but here on the way it was blooming and smiling with no signs of wilting.

The lovely yellow, orange, and red stole our hearts. My brother was driving but he could not help but stop and look at the flowers.

We then saw many sugar cane plants on the way

Sugar cane was in plenty. It was the area where sugar cane is produced and sent to the factories for further processing into sugar. The fields were full of it and on the side, there were vendors selling sugar cane juice.

My brother did ask me if I would like to have some juice and I did not take the offer because so much sugar intake would not be good for my health.

We reached the wedding venue and believe me the hotel was on the banks of the Ganges. We could view the water, mountains, and trees. It was an amazing place.

Rishikesh was very scenic. It was calm and peaceful to go there. We were away from the maddening crowd as you can see from the picture above.🤚🏽I could not even think that this was the place I had come for the wedding.

While walking near the Ganges, I saw a lot of hibiscus growing almost into trees. I had previously seen bushes of hibiscus but never such big trees. Also, all the flowers have variegated colors. They were pink and white on the same branch and some of the flowers were also in two colors.

To wrap up

God made nature so beautiful. Each time of the year has its own beauty. Spring is particularly rich in color as flowers bloom. The whole area looks spectacular.

The hosts at the wedding looked after us so well. They spread a lot of love and kindness and I was happy to be part of the celebrations. It was a beautiful wedding and I hope and pray that the couple is always happy together. 💕🙏🏽

I will never forget the journey and the lovely amazing place that I visited and the beautiful flowers. What a lovely package in a journey.😀

I enjoyed reading quite a few stories and each one was lovely. I am tagging two stories of the desert Anne Bonfert

Michael Rhodes has found and photographed beautiful desert flowers like marigolds which is such a wonder.

Michele Maize Thank you for the April Challenge. I am so glad I traveled during Easter and I wrote on the smiling flowers.
