The Beauty of Being Impulsive
There is magic in sometimes acting on impulse

Standing in the grocery store line, Adding items to be scanned, Watching and waiting, An ordinary Saturday.
Suddenly, a flash of bright orange, A smile from my husband, We spot him across the line, An extraordinary sight.
He holds a bright cone of delight, We grin and laugh, Wondering why the frozen treat, Right now, on this day.
Packing up all of our bags, Into the street, No time to lose, This impulse creates joy.
Triple mango scoops, Now for the three of us, Savoring each bite, Not knowing the change to come.
Being impulsive, Has its charm, When enjoying life’s moments, They are fleeting.
On my 100-day abundance journey, I often recall beautiful memories of my life. I remember this day when my husband impulsively bought a triple mango ice cream cone. This was in early March of this year, and little did we know that things would be shutting down soon. It was the last time we all went out for ice cream cones together. My husband told me that he remembered a time when I had said to sometimes be impulsive because you never know when the opportunity will come again. He had seen the triple mango ice cream poster on the way into the grocery store, so he knew what to do. What a delight!
My prayer and my intention for you today is that you act on some impulses. You never know when the opportunity will come again. Of course, at this time of the pandemic, we must stay safe. However, there are lots of things we can still do. What is your inner being telling you to do?
Day #25: What impulse will you act on soon? What is your inner being calling you to do?
