How big are the differences?
We live in the age of porn, which often leads to the spread of a false image of penis sizes, especially among boys. Most porn actors have large penises. You could start to believe that this is normal if you watch porn frequently. Which is the case with many boys and men.
Many boys are therefore insecure about their own bodies.
In this article, you will learn the exact data on the average penis sizes and the differences between different ethnicities.
After all, there are also widespread opinions in this regard, which I will fact check. For example that all dark-skinned men have large penises.
Caution. Take the numbers with a grain of salt.
There are some reasons to doubt the accuracy of the figures:
- There are not too many reliable studies
- The measurements might have been performed differently.
- Some studies are based on data provided by men without measurement by researchers. I assume that not all men were completely honest. Probably their honesty is negatively correlated with their ego…
But I still think you can identify some trends.
The Numbers
All the following lengths refer to the erect state of the penis. One could therefore speak of the hard numbers. Jokes aside.
According to my source, the global average is 13.71 cm/ 5.4 inches.
If we now divide into different ethnic groups, an image that in fact confirms the first prejudice emerges:
The first place goes to Black/ African American men: 14.75cm/ 5.8 inches.
Here are the numbers for the other races:
- White/ Caucasian: 14.5cm / 5.7 inches
- Hispanic/ Latino: 14.45cm/ 5.7 inches
- Asian American: 14.15cm/ 5.6 inches
- Middle- Eastern: 13.9cm/ 5.5 inches
- South East Asian: 13.65cm/ 5.4 inches
- South Asian: 13cm/ 5.1 inches
- East Asian: 12.9cm/ 5.1 inches
I got the numbers here. As already said, take them with a grain of salt.
What the hell am I writing about?
Please excuse me for going off-topic for a moment. Somehow it feels weird to write this article. I never thought I would write about freaking penises…
Let me tell you briefly about how it came about: When I first started here on Medium, I was trying out different themes to see what would work best.
