The Amazing Promise About Change Continues to Astound Me
I carried my tools home, never to use them again.
That was then; this is now.
I needed a change and didn’t know it.
There are challenges we all face. At times life is uncertain. The wheels fall off. You go through a divorce, death of a loved one, job loss, or a financial collapse. A friend of ours had their house burn down.
Here’s my point, change is not an end, it’s a starting point
Bruce Barton says,
When you’re through changing, you’re through.
Instead of being distraught when devastating change hits, see the astounding possibilities. Change is routine in life. We grow, and our once black hair turns to grey.
But it’s when the abnormal change happens it brings with it extraordinary possibilities
Yes, I carried my tools home. It ended my twenty-two-year job, not my life.
I became a Pastor of a church in trouble. This was a massive change to my usual tranquil life. Thirty-four years ago, my life became extraordinary. With my mundane factory shift schedule long behind me. I’ve traveled worldwide teaching Bible seminars in fourteen countries.
My disappointing loss became a life extraordinary.
Only recently have I read this from Mandy Kloppers. This validates the action I took thirty-four years ago.
TO CREATE POSITIVE OUTCOMES YOU MUST TAKE MASSIVE ACTION.
I write this because;
You are experiencing massive change, don’t give in to despondency from your loss. Your set-back is a set-up for remarkable growth.
This is the time to ditch the negative, grab hold on the positive. God has designs for your future.
Bruce Barton says, When you’re through changing, you’re through. BUT, you are not finished. Because there’s more good things in store for you.
I like this quote by Robert Browning since I’m in my seventies.
Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. Our times are in his hand who saith, ‘A whole I planned, youth shows but half; Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!
Here’s the wrap.
- Change is inevitable.
- You decide how you handle the change.
- Optimism will carry your day.
- Your set-back is a set-up for the extraordinary.
- Your ‘best is yet to be’. Believe it.
- The Sun will rise again, presenting a new day for you.
You can do this.
