Thanks Anyway For Breaking My Heart — I Found My Way Back!

Day 3 poetry prompt

It’s bizarre this feeling I should have hated you more for breaking my heart for crushing me into a thousand pieces I thought I won’t be able to get back again

Yet here I am I know I have moved on I should have been ever be mad at you for not respecting me the way I deserved for not taking care of me the way you promised me before wholeheartedly

So what for now what I must say to you? thank you for breaking my heart, thank you for busting my trust, thank you for wrecking my world

If not for you I would not be able to stand alone again to become stronger to trust best my unknown future to a known God to love my true self fully to let the world know I am proud to have loved

“At first, I was in so much pain that you broke my heart, you destroyed my trust. But as time goes on, I realized you are just a potent drag shielding me from becoming who I am meant to be — the best that I can be. Thanks anyway — I am back!” Josh Balerite Acol
