Grow Together on Medium

Thank you Medium Community for my progress on the 90-Day Challenge

“A community is a group of people who agree to grow together.” — Simon Sinek

The writers in this community have literally given me an opportunity to do what I love, and get paid for it.

For this I am very thankful, and appreciative of your support, feedback, and positive suggestions towards my goals.

Even before this challenge, I continued to learn and enjoy the conversations with many of you in this community.

I’m learning as we grow, it gets more challenging to stay connected with every single person.

Being honest, that is a great problem to have.

  • I would much rather have a challenge to compete against time to listen, learn, read, respond, develop, help, and connect with every person I can

than

  • the challenge is to push my motives and agenda first, and then talk about how I got to the top of the hill.

>>> (To each their own, there is more than one way to do things. I’m explicitly sharing what works for me. ) <<<

Some of the great conversations, and learning experiences I’ve had, have me thinking to one of the first people I connected with, and read about on Medium.

Meet Henrik Hageland

I have no writing background or experience in writing on any platform. I knew I loved writing, and I want to leave memories and messages to my family after I am gone.

Henrik Hageland was the first person to read, respond, and get to know me and my content.

Here is his Medium page

When I first started writing on Medium, I was self publishing, and reading and introducing myself to others in the medium community.

  • I joined my first publication to efficiently connect my content with others, and to connect, and learn from other writers.

In January, my intentions, and goals on medium were very raw and inexperienced.

Honest, transparent feedback from Henrik Hageland was so resourceful, and meaningful to me. <<<<<

His response

I am amazed, and thankful to see how far we have all come just a month ago.

In January, we were connecting, and learning from each other trying to develop and grow in our experiences and skills.

  • Today we are still doing the same things, and are more than happy, and willing to help others along the way.

Here is one of our conversations we had a month ago on pubs.

My response

Being completely honest, it’s been a few days since I have had the chance to catch up with him and his content.

I felt compelled in my reminiscence of this journey when I started on Medium, to acknowledge on of the first people who took their time to talk to me.

Henrik Hageland my friend it’s been a while since we had chance to catch up.

I hope all is going well in Denmark, and I appreciate the memorable moments to read, learn, and connect together.

A special thanks to you Henrik Hageland good friend, and I hope others get an opportunity to share good times you’ve shared with me.

There are more people I can’t wait to share my learning experiences, and memorable moments on Medium like,

- the interesting, and knowledgeable help, and benefits herbs provide in Ashley Madich content

- the delicious Pavola Cake with Ashllyn T. I learned to cook at home

Or the amazing, historical places Farshid Wahdat shares of in Herat Afghanistan

And many more!

Overall, I am thankful for the learning experiences, and connections I continue to develop with people in the community.

I believe the support, and connections of the people in the community, give me a better opportunity to develop in every aspect of myself.

Thanks for reading!

This might not even be a challenge for me anymore, but more so a way of being on Medium. Best Regards.
