ILLUMINATION Writers & Editors
Testimonial for Dr Kathryn A. LeRoy
Introducing insightful writers & editors of ILLUMINATION

Working with creative writers and editors of ILLUMINATION publication on Medium is one of the motivating factors for me to invest my reading time on this platform rather than others.
In this story, I want to introduce one of our editors and writers Kathryn A. LeRoy, Ph.D. who contributes to our publication and overall reading community on Medium. Kathryn is a talented professional and writer.

Kathryn leads and manages systemic performance improvement initiatives for K-16 education, non-profits, oil and gas service companies, and small businesses. She has facilitated the strategic planning process, balanced scorecard development, performance metric monitoring, data analysis, and the documentation of operational and instructional core processes.
I am inspired by reading contributions of Kathryn to the leadership field. She conducts training in leadership development, Lean Six Sigma, project management, team facilitation, and the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework. She has assessed organizations of all sizes and sectors and led organizations through internal assessments using the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework.
As depicted by her editorial duties in our publication, Kathryn always seeks to inspire others to embrace quality and recognize the value of change as a critical component of performance excellence.
Kathryn is an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Manager for Organizational Excellence and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She has served as vice-chair of the Board of Overseers, team leader, feedback writer, process coach, trainer, and judge for the Quality Texas Foundation.
In 2019, Kathryn was recognized as a Quality Texas Foundation Fellow. She has also served as an examiner, senior examiner, and team leader for the national Baldrige program since 2009. Kathryn earned a B.A. and M.Ed from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Kathryn is a relentless seeker of excellence, kindness, learning, and believer in the strength of the human spirit. As a writer, her purpose is to inspire, guide, share tools and strategies — to help us make every day our best.
Kathryn’s professional journey has taken her down varied paths. She has traveled from classroom teacher to champion for the transformation of schools and workplaces. In every role, she has one constant — remain a learner.
Kathryn is an avid reader. You can usually find her engrossed in a book or an article. She is always searching the skies and surroundings for the perfect photo. When the house is quiet, she may sing loudly, strum her guitar, or rock the walls with a bit of Beethoven on the piano. She enjoys spending time with the people who make each day the best. People make her a better person.
Kathryn is also a published author: Transforming Organizations: One Process at a Time, (Boca Rotan, FL, CRC Press, 2018).
