Tech Background and its Association With my Life
The umbrella that kept me dry when it rained

I have always been of the view that technology changes rapidly and it only benefits those who keep up with it, yet today I get down to write this post with a totally different perspective.
Recently I just came across Dr Mehmet Yildiz s new venture. I am a strong believer in his talents, his projects of ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated are solid proof of his capabilities and hard work. ‘Technology Hits’ got me thinking about how my technological background can benefit me to become a part of this new project.
As I look back at my life and my career as a writer it all connects back to technology. I am a lupus patient with some complex health issues but due to my technological knowledge, I get to work from home.
My interest in programming has led me to reteach my self some leading programming languages of today. This has not only been beneficial for my self but has also raised the love of programming in my children and every day I see them getting attracted more and more towards new and leading technologies.
Where I started from
I started with a strong technological background completing my graduation and getting married in the first year of MSc Computer Sciences just before real life struck me.
I was in my early 20s when I moved to the UK with my husband. We both had ambitions at heart, with dreams to follow. He was in the first year of his PhD and I looked forward to taking a little break and getting back to my career soon after. Yet Life had its own plans for us.
Within a year I was diagnosed with APS and I became a mother to a beautiful premature baby who was hardly 2 pounds at birth.
This is when things took a turn. It was a challenge for both of us. He continued his studies along with financially and emotionally supporting his family. While I was hit by a whirlpool of health issues with a preemie baby to take care of. How we survived those days is only a blessing of our Creator.
The following years changed my priorities and I lost the connection with my technological background and career-building. I thought I had lost it all, everything seemed to have changed with the new technological advancements which were all alien to me.
Just a couple of years back when my youngest child started going to school and my health conditions settled a bit, I had a chance to rethink my views. This is when I came to the realization, it is never too late and yes “knowledge is power” whenever you reach out to it.
Writing is my passion and this emotion is incomplete without technology.
My stories on tech and life
I feel my life is deeply connected with my technological background from the time when my father told me computer stories as a child to now when my son thinks he knows more programming than anyone else the house.
I wrote a story about this journey and it was distributed by Medium. Here is a link if you would like to read more about it.
I am also sharing another story which I wrote about my son and his love for programming

As I have mentioned earlier I lost the track of time due to my health and family issues. I had to start it all over again and this time I was teaching myself. It was a whole new adventure which led to precious findings and I share my journey in these stories distributed by Medium.
last but not least this article cannot be complete without my tribute to the unsung heroes of today. This one is my favourite pieces distributed by medium, even though it didn't achieve the love I expected.
I have written many stories about my experiences with reference to daily life and technology and I look forward to sharing lots more with you on Technology-Hits.
