Take the Damn Red Pill And Unplug Yourself From The Matrix
The pep-talk humanity needs to hear to wake up.

What makes for a fulfilling life? What brings meaning and purpose?
Let’s start with two non-negotiable facts.
- As far as we know, we are only getting one shot at this thing called life.
- And we’re going to spend around a third of it asleep.
With that said, the only question that needs asking: are you going to take the red pill and be awake for the rest of it?
In today’s everything on-demand world we are bombarded with information: ideas and beliefs that are not ours. Passively we go through the motions of a status quo existence as if it was issued from a photocopy machine — a templated reality that society, culture, religion, and big business conditioned us to follow.
Many of us struggle to find our place in this matrix, and I get it — I was one of those many for a long time. Many feel lost, worried, and confused. Some are even hurting.
We have all been bluepilled to some extent, and the vast majority of us are unaware that there is even any other choice.
Deciding what to believe, whom to trust, and what you should be doing is enough to consume your mind that it leaves little room for anything else.
Is it any wonder why so many people are checked out? Is it any surprise why escaping to our phones has strangely become a form of unwinding and recharging?
Getting through the daily rat race is enough to suck up all our energy and attention. Who has time to attend to such esoteric matters like figuring out what their heart and soul truly desires?
However, the more I’ve immersed myself in doing my own inner work, the more I believe we overcomplicate life and what it means to be alive.
For starters, how many people have taken a good look at themselves from the inside and asked basic questions like these:
- What do I really want and desire in life?
- What’s my real purpose?
- What goals will bring me fulfillment and joy?
- What do I really want to be doing?
- Who do I want to be around?
A Hero’s Journey
While the self-development industry will tell you to follow a certain process or system, the truth is there isn’t an exact recipe or formula that will get you these answers.
There isn’t a one-size fit all solution to personal growth. There’s no 21-day program, flow hack, or wonder pill that uncovers desires from the soul.
You have to do the work.
That is what being on the spiritual path is all about. That is what makes us conscious creators in the universe. That is the point of the journey of being human and hopefully on route to becoming a better one.
Each of us has to find our way.
Each of us must summon the courage and embark on our own hero’s journey filled with unique flavors of triumph and defeat, love and pain, insight and ignorance.
No journey is the same or will ever be the same. And there will never be another you.
You are statistically the most unlikely thing. Each one of us is made out of stardust. Our fathers made 300 million sperm cells, and only one got through.
Do you realize the significance of that?
This life, your reality, and the path that lies before you will only be experienced once in this particular configuration.
It’s yours and yours alone to experience.

The Glimmer
Despite our individual paths, inside all of us, we share something powerful. Something pure and blissful. Something lively and energetic yet peaceful and invigorating.
And that’s our internal love for life. That profound zest for being alive yearning to experience, express ourselves and connect with others.
Deep down this insatiable hunger resides in each of us. And even if you don’t feel it now, there are times when it just hits you. When you least expect it, you experience glimmers of it.
Maybe when someone is especially kind to you, it glimmers.
Maybe when you look up at the night sky and notice the stars and the moon, it glimmers.
Maybe when you create or build something, it glimmers.
Maybe when you make eye contact with yourself in the bathroom mirror and whisper I love you. It glimmers.
Over the past two years, I have become increasingly aware of this feeling, that it no longer glimmers. It shines.
Brighter. And brighter. And brighter.
Every day I am learning more and more about how much I’m in love with life, how fulfilled I feel most of the time, and how meaningful, joyful, and purposeful my life feels.
Of course, I have unmet desires, aspirations, and goals. Of course, I have insecurities and concerns once in a while. I experience stress and feel uncomfortable at times with all the uncertainties in life. I catch myself worrying or overthinking about certain things.
However, every day I feel inspired, excited, and grateful to be alive and experience everything life has to offer.
And deep down, at the very core of your being, I believe you feel this way too.
Can you awaken to it?
So my question to you now becomes: can you dance with this feeling even for a brief moment?
If so, isn’t this “thing” swirling inside you called life a beautiful, radiant, and sacred experience? Have you ever genuinely considered how amazing it feels to simply be alive?
Sure, life is going to challenge us often and always. Sure, being human means unpleasant feelings, uncomfortable moments, and pain.
But those are the price of admission to embark on this magical adventure. And I know it sure as hell isn’t going to stop me from getting on the ride.
My heart and soul won’t allow it. I don’t plan on dying with my music still in me. No one should.
So what are you going to do with the rest of your life? With the rest of eternity?
If you want to dance to that music every day, it comes down to making a conscious choice — deliberately choosing what you believe, where you will invest your energy, and ultimately the type of reality you want to have a hand in building.

So what makes for a fulfilling life?
What brings meaning and purpose?
I did say we overcomplicate things, didn’t I? Set the intention to take the red pill so you can go find out.

Learn better.
Keep trying.
Become more aware.
And even in times of doubt, always double down on love.
I mean you’re alive right now, aren’t you? Are you awake?
Well, then you literally can’t fuck this up.
