Take Comfort in God’s Plans

‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

I planned on having a full-time writing job and being married with a family by now. These plans have not happened. But God orchestrates His own plans for our lives. He carried me through difficult times. In the midst of heartache from breakups and job rejections, God blessed me with new and old friendships as well as new writing opportunities.

When I read Jeremiah 29:11, I am reminded that God knows what is best for me and my future. His plans will come through.
