Taco Tuesday!
Six-Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shine!”
Crippling Depression — On Crunchy Taco Tuesday?
Okay, first and foremost, I’d like to express how overjoyed I am about the Medium editor returning to the mobile app! (A random Taco Tuesday piece with visual aids is a case in point.)
And, now, yes, today was an emotionally challenging day, but gosh darn it, my boy asked for tacos, and I was going to come through for him. Today’s article reminds me of this time with my daughter a year ago when the last thing I wanted to do was get out all the baking stuff at 8 pm on a school night and bake peanut butter blossoms.
But I do it all for my kids; some days, their shining faces are the only things that keep me going. And on the days when I don’t see their faces, I look back at posts like these and see how far we’ve all come.
Today (and every day), my love for them (and tacos) shone bright like a crispy, crunchy, tortilla-shaped sun.
One last thing: These chicken tacos were easy and delicioso!! Tell me, how can you go wrong with a $4.99 rotisserie chicken from Costco?
Exactly.
Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer, for your creative brilliance, and to the rest of the phenomenal photographers out there who make my heart shake with just one picture: Dennett, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, Ellie Jacobson, Pene Hodge, BichoDoMato, pockett dessert, Mark Tulin, Jason Edmunds, B.R. Shenoy, Penny Grubb, Judy Walker, and Anne Bonfert!
Thank you for reading. I love you all! ❤
