Someone Who Speaks Less Often Actually Embodies More Wisdom:

Silence is a Tool, as it is used for Learning, Contemplation, Reflection, and Meditation.
Silence Is Best For Hiding Faults And Avoiding Errors.
Silence can be a very powerful way to “be” with another person, especially when they are troubled. It can communicate acceptance of the other person as they are at a given moment, particularly when they have strong feelings like sorrow, fear, or anger.
Commandments Of Silence And Encouragement Towards It In The Qur’an And Sunnah:
Allah, exalted, says, “Not a word does a person utter without having a vigilant observer ready to write it down.” (Qaf: 18)
He also says, honored and majestic, “Do not follow blindly what you do not know to be true: ears, eyes, and heart, you will be questioned about all these.” (Al-Isra’: 36)
Abu Hurayrah, Allah pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “Whoever Believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say what is good or be silent...”
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must either speak good or remain silent".
Silence is an act, advised to maintain peace and good relations between one another. It takes great courage to speak up and get one’s ideas and best intentions across — but when speaking is done without thinking of its outcomes, someone may be hurt or be put at risk or in harm’s way due to our actions. Keeping silent in the Face of chaos takes even greater Courage and Strength.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah(saw) said, “You must have good character and observe long periods of silence. By the One in whose hand is my soul, no behaviors are as beautifying as these two.”( Musnad al-Bazzār 7001).

Being Silent Is Often Associated To Being An Introvert.
Characterised by their quiet demeanour, introverts are sometimes mistaken for being arrogant or even insecure.
In this day and age, individuals with a loud personality are frequently considered to be smarter, wittier and likeable.
The society has been conditioned to speak their mind and therefore speaking only when necessary is undesirable and keeping silent is looked down upon as it signifies ignorance and lack of courage.
Leadership Is About Providing Solutions To Problems And Making Decisions.
Being Silent and Mindful of what is uttered showcases our ‘iman’ (Faith) and Forbearance.
Speaking of good eases the heart, enabling compassionate decision-making that will benefit humankind.

Anas ibn Malik, Allah be pleased with him, said, “Four do not cease being amazing: Silence - and it is the first form of worship, humility, remembrance of Allah, and having little”.
Al-Ajurri said about the people of lowly desires, “Your silence over them and your abandonment of speaking to them is harder on them than your debate with them. Such was said by the righteous predecessors among the Muslim scholars.” (Source: al-Sharī’ah lil-Ājurrī 1/449)
Ibn Buraydah said, “I saw Ibn `Abbas grasping his tongue saying, ‘Woe to you! Say what is good and you will be prosperous, or at least do not say evil so that you are safe; if not, know you will be regretful.’ It was said to him, ‘Ibn `Abbas, why do you say this?’ He replied, ‘It reached me that man’ - I think he said this - ‘is not more infuriated or enraged with a body part of his on the Day of Recompense than he will be with his tongue, other than what he said of good or dictated therefrom.”
Categories Of Silence:
1- Praiseworthy Silence:
Which is to withhold one’s tongue from all that Allah has forbidden of speech, like backbiting, slander, profanity, and similar things. Likewise, not saying that which is in itself permissible out of caution that it may lead to the impermissible.
2- Blameworthy Silence:
It is when one is silent when it is necessary to speak out. Examples of this include Forbidding what is wrong, not spreading good talk, and concealing knowledge.
Silence Is A Virtue Of Value. For Some, It Is Difficult To Attain — But Let Us Speak Through Our Actions, And Allah (swt), The Most Merciful, Will Surely Grant His Blessings To Believers.
