POEM OF FUN
Summer Breezes Blow By
Favorite activities and memories of summertime come and go with the wind so savor each one at a time.
Patio lights gleam in the moonlight Anticipating dusk for screening films with friends Dancing under the stars, dreaming of more time together
Campfires blaze hours, passing time zones Stories told with recollections sparking uncontrollable laughter Guitars carry childhood memories and melodies of lovers
Rainbow popsicles melting in swirls, cooling beads of sweat Double scoop ice cream cones dripping down between our fingers BBQ whiffs hop a cloud and float by in the neighborhood breeze
Watermelon spits measured in festival action Icy chilled glasses foaming with root beer or hops and suds Fireflies decorate the dark night’s sky
Floating in a caravan down the lazy rivers Invitations waiting for a reply Don’t let all the summer breezes blow bye bye
Thank you for kicking back to enjoy my summer poem.
