Stuck in Life
Have you ever felt that your life is stuck just in one moment?
I do have, and I live with that kind of thinking. For the last8 years, I have been working as HR Assessor in the Indonesia Meteorology Bureau. Since 4 months ago, I have moved into HR Assessor in the Supreme Court of Indonesia. I thought I would be happy and feel relieved after 8 years consecutive I worked in the same environment.
It does not.
It turns out I feel to be stuck in life. I was circling a day over and over again like a hamster. In order to break the habit, I am trying to be a writer in Medium. I try to write and read in English while living up to my childhood dream of being an astronomer. Well, not all my articles have a good response. Some of it raised an eyebrow of senior astronomers and scientists.
That was deliberately fine, I use my credentials as a learner in astronomy, while some of it is a PhD or even a professor in particular space exploration.
I long to be free from 9–5 clockwork, travelling with my wife around the globe or just around Indonesia. Write as much as I find myself attracted to an event. But there is a bill need to pay. When all these dreams come down, the bill still needs to be done. The 9–5 clockwork is able to fulfil this bill.
The cycle then repeated again and again.
I am still waiting for a writer from Indonesia like me, could earn by writing in Medium. Write anything even the weirdest imagination about life, astronomy, or other physics stuff. We might be a developing nation, but wouldn’t be an interesting point of view?
One day, I will be travelling a lot with my wife and family, enjoying writing with Medium, and the bill will take care of itself.
Cheers.
