  • All feelings and emotions are unstable, constantly changing, unsatisfactory and not-self. The Buddha wants us to see this clearly for ourselves and to relinquish craving, grasping and clinging.
  • He wants us to release our burden in order to be free from suffering.

If we practice every day with intention we can create causes for the realisation of Nibbana

Know that this is not beyond our ability to achieve. Everyone carries the seeds of buddha-nature, therefore everyone is capable of Buddhahood and is worthy of our encouragement to walk the path.

“Don’t let time roll by unused and without purpose. Try to reach the truth of the Buddha’s teachings even today. Let me close with a Lao folk-saying: ‘many rounds of merriment and pleasure past, soon it will be evening. Drunk with tears now, rest and see, soon it will be too late to finish the journey.’ ” — Ajahn Chah

May this teaching lead you to happiness; may it help you grow in truth. May you be freed from the suffering of birth and death.
