exploitative language that use uncompensated work expecting and creating a new normal where a job is no longer a job but one you have to embody above and beyond until it eats into every part of your life, with 3am emails.

Hi I’m Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) and I’ve done a lot of unpaid labour. I’ve also done a lot of unpaid labour that brought me no value, whatsoever and was simply set up to be exploiting free labour. I’ve vowed to never be in that place again, and to never place someone else in that position.
