Stop! Are You Making an Excuse?

It’s Time to Be Honest With Yourself

As much as we HATE to admit it, humans are GREAT at excuses — we just rarely call them as we should.

We tell ourselves that “we’ll get it later” or run a list longer than Santa’s naughty and nice list of “why” we can’t do something. Instead, choose ONE reason why you CAN!

You’re capable when you say “yes” to yourself.

Shift your perspective to strive for progress and not perfection.

Some excuses might appear harmless. In reality — every excuse you make, takes you further away from your goals and your ability to reach your full potential.

Step forward, to the side, even backwards to grant yourself a new perspective, just stop standing still (for too long, anyway).

What do you need to break free from making excuses?

Start by calling them what they are and:

“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anyone else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.” ―Henry Ward Beecher
