Stolen

A poem about something stolen with a twist

Photo by Marek Studzinski on Unsplash

Stolen from me Stolen by you It’s heartbreaking To learn You took it From me.

You deviously Swiped it away Running Into the mist Escaping Into the night.

I want it back You have to see It’s not for you It’s for me.

So, alas When I’m asleep Leave it Near my bed I’ll see it When I awake.

Bring the one you stole I need it for my goal.

It uplifts my health It brings me a wealth I cannot explain.

Why did you take it? I turned my head And then it was gone.

I wasn’t paying attention Because my eyes Were glued to My favorite show.

My eyes glowed With interest on the tv Not seeing you escape With my special box Of green tea.
