Steps To Hit Reset After A Shitty Day
Have you tried switching you off and on again?

Ok, so your day wasn’t great, hell maybe your week has been utterly horrid.
Maybe you felt like falling apart, maybe you did. Maybe you swore at the wrong person. Maybe you cried in the work car park. Screamed your kids for nothing. Fell down the stairs after getting dumped. Whatever, some combination has landed you here.
Wherever you’re at let’s take you through the steps to hit reset.
Step 1:
Pick yourself up off the cold hard ground. Make your way to safety, then your choice of emotional outlet. At this point, you may want to locate a physical spot on your body to become your reset button such as your nose or palm.
Step 2:
Hit Reset — Use said emotional outlet. Maybe this means you are scream-singing in the car or lifting heavy things to dance music, get it out, get the pent up energy the fuck out of you. My personal favourites are brain dumps or boxing.
Step 3:
Plot your next move. By now you should be feeling at least a little better. The release lets your mind switch off, get away from the pressures and pains. Shift your attention to moving forward.
Now your brain can be sensible again try and turn your focus to plan your next move. This might be relaxing or starting something other than what bound you in the first place. Or maybe it’s stepping back into routine with a clean slate.
Know that you can always reset. Go on your way with a fresh start in mind.
