Nature mini prompt

B.R. Shenoy does a nature mini prompt in collaboration with Yana Bostongirl of the Life column in her story “Connecting with Nature Has the Potential to Change Your Life”.

She writes: “If you want to join in on the fun and participate in this prompt, don’t forget to add “Nature” as your tag, with the second tag being “Coffee Times Movement”.

The piece can be a poem, short form, or essay. There is no time limit on this prompt.”

Don’t forget to tag Yana Bostongirl and B.R. Shenoy adding this article:

B.R. adds that you should please also invite other writers. “A shoutout of another piece would be lovely. However, it is no longer a requirement.”

She writes: “Even this small amount of time can be beneficial to you. When you return to your work, you are more energized and focused.”

I totally agree with this!

I wrote a while back about how I took some time off in the mountains of Austria, a beautiful place:

I am outside almost every day and love to go for walks. I explore the area or go to my favorite places, like e.g. this one:

I also love to drive to new villages or forest areas to go for a walk there. I love to walk across wide fields and explore nature. It helps me get down and relax.

There is something meditative about it. The fresh air clears my head. I just went for a walk a few days ago to photograph some spring flowers.

While I did that, I also made some quick notes on my phone. The walks inspire me to write poems. I have started several spring poems.

I have compiled these into a spring poem collection. Now I am publishing them in this article.

Another great author is MN, providing interesting stories and a lot of feelings:

My spring poem collection

Spring poem #1: Spring is finally here

The days are getting longer The sun is getting stronger We’re getting closer to spring The birds are singing louder The flowers are starting to bloom Everything is coming back to life We can feel the excitement in the air The days are getting brighter The weather is getting nicer Spring is finally here

Spring poem #2: Blossom — A perfect day to be happy

Buds are starting to show, the signs of spring are in the air. All around the trees are blooming, a colorful sight to see.

The birds are singing in the morning, a chorus of joy to start the day. The sun is shining and the sky is blue, a perfect day to spend outside.

The grass is soft and the flowers are pretty, a colorful blanket beneath my feet. I feel the sun on my skin and the breeze in my hair, a perfect day to just be happy.

Spring poem #3: Spring flowers

The sweet smell of spring flowers Fills the air and my heart with joy I can’t wait to see what new wonders This beautiful season will bring

There’s something about the way The flowers bloom in spring That just makes me feel so happy And I can’t help but smile

Everywhere I look, there’s beauty In the trees, the sky, and the ground I can’t wait to get outside And explore all around
