Spirits Dance
We’re lonely souls in search of another
Spirits in trance, souls do their dance.
Alone coldness of night, amidst our feelings held tight.
Lovers will run, together til dawn. Nothing to share, emotions we bare.
Fear creeps back in, separation again.
Loneliness fills space, solo dancing in place.
Safe in our cage, locked beyond vulnerable rage.
Much better alone, nothing challenges home.
Belief to have won, living for one.
Deep in life’s skin, sadness begins.
Push them away! No one ever stays.
Darkness won’t sway, depressions this way.
Where does love go? When shown out the door.
A fool dressed for show, seeking lovers with gold.
Dance in a crowd, among strangers were found.
Then once again, create sparks with a twin.
Spirits in trance, souls do their dance.
A glimmer of light, for love you must fight.
