Sometimes Things Don’t Happen The Way We Want
“Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.”
We are used to doing what society tells us, and we grow in that way. Going to school to learn what is supposed we have to learn.
Being systematically instructed by the same curricular 20 years ago If is not longer than that. Letting our soul apart and forced to spend time as the others.
Don’t entrust your future on others’ hands. Rather make decisions by yourself (…) Hold your beliefs so tight and never let go of them! — Hark Herald S.
I spend a huge part of my life doing things that I didn’t want to do, Why?
Because I thought people around me will feel happy, but I was doing a huge mistake, I was lying to myself, I was losing my life telling myself that this is how life is supposed to be.
So. Tell me. What do you think? Which is better? To take action and perhaps make a fatal mistake — or to take no action and die slowly anyway?
— Ahdaf Soueif
We can change our lives in every moment if we have the decision to do it.
What stop you from doing what you really want to do?
You can start doing some little changes in your life, creating habits and time to spend more time on things you always wanted to do.
Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it. — Bill Cosby
How to apply it:
Having fear for new things is good, is telling you that something amazing is going to happen and that you can learn new things.
Write in one sentence what you want to accomplish in a big sheet and put in your wall to remember and when you wake up you will see it every day, is a good way to remember it and grab in your mind.
You can start spending the weekend on your project and then separating a couple of hours in your week.
Consistency is one of the biggest factors leading to accomplishment and success. You will notice that things will start to change in what will appear to be subtle ways.
“Trust your instincts, and make judgments on what your heart tells you. The heart will not betray you.” — David Gemmell
A lot of people are having enough motivation and courage to start their own path.
Every day millions of people are starting new business, careers, projects, and working hard. However working hard is not enough, sometimes we work so hard and don’t succeed.
We put our head against the wall trying to know why we cannot make it happen.
“The most successful men work smart, not hard”
― Bangambiki Habyarimana, The Great Pearl of Wisdom
Working hard is just the beginning, working smart is what will differentiate us from others. It’s not all about how you work hard but it’s about how you manage your time and resources for a better output.
“I used to work extremely hard and didn’t really achieve a lot of tangible things. But when I started working extremely smart, the gates of abundant blessings opened up for me.” ― Edmond Mbiaka
How to apply it:
. Create and stick to a routine
You need to plan on how you are going to achieve your goal, and for that, you need to structure a way to do it.
Give yourself time to create your plan, write small tasks for every day, having small tasks and wins will give you enough motivation to keep going each day.
. Improve your time management skills
Now there are a lot of tools that can help you to improve your time when you are focusing on a new project.
Here is a post where I explain some technological apps that can help you to boost your time.
. Use a to-don't list
You need to know what things are wasting your time, passing time scrolling down your social networks, looking for some ideas without having in mind what are you looking for will not give you results, you need to focus on your main goal.
The information on the Internet is so big and you can find yourself looking for something for hours without any result.
. Reevaluate what you are doing
We often pass a long time doing something until we realize we are not having results.
You need to see things from different perspectives. Give yourself time to pause and think if what you are doing is the best way to do it.
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” ―Dale Carnegie
Is important to keep trying and develop new ways if we are no having results, successful men and women keep moving. You can make a lot of mistakes in your way to success, don’t be discouraged.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The only way to succeed is always to try just one more time — Thomas Eddison
Maybe you heard before about the perseverance of Thomas Eddison, However is important to remember what he said when he invented the light bulb:
I didn’t fail 1000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1000 steps.
He teaches us the importance of how to see failure and be optimistic, you need to see life as no other person does.
Learn from everything you do in your day to day, the experience is also valuable for not making the same mistakes again and finding a better solution.
