Some of the Best Articles I Read This Week (#7)

Awesome articles from my recent Medium reading

Every week I share a list of articles that I’ve enjoyed on Medium. You can see my previous weekly summary here.

I’ve read so much this week that I’ve had to save some for next time... But while the stories below are not the only good things I’ve read lately, I do believe that they are all interesting and inspiring reads!

First off, I’m a fiction writer, so I couldn’t help but click on the following piece. Fortunately, it turned out to be a great piece written by Tharun Kumar:

On a similar theme, I really enjoyed this article by Cliff Hightower about writing with emotion:

I’ve recently been reflecting on the process of feedback and improvement as a writer, and Lisa Kimondo does a great job of explaining why it can be hard to receive feedback. This one’s not just about writing, though it’s certainly relevant to authors:

Mila ben shares some very curious and well-written paranormal stories and unsolved mysteries on Medium, often delving into history. Check out this recent piece:

Another fellow author: Colleen Millsteed writes some excellent poetry. As I’m a lover of all things fantasy, this piece particularly engaged me!

Finally, Michael L Butler made me chuckle with his article about different types of clappers on Medium. As for me, I am pretty random with this — more is better and I often clap 50 times, but sometimes I’m in too much of a hurry. I feel bad when I’ve clapped less for some comments on a story than others, though!!

What have you been reading this week? If you have written an article that you are especially proud of, feel free to let me know in the comments.

There was a bit of a creative writing theme this week (not for the first time!). For more, why not check out these lists?
