Some of My favourite Writers on Illumination-Curated
Learning to swim with the best of us.

This is a somewhat difficult task given we have so many highly talented writers here on the Illuminating Illumination platforms.
I will play it safe by mentioning the writers I referred to in my interview not too long back and one or two I have got to know better since then, after I joined the amazing team of editors at Illumination.
I am an editor on both Illumination and Illumination-Curated. I review and enjoy reading many articles each day. In this post, I want to share a few recent stories attracted my attention.
Dr Mehmet Yildiz. I cannot claim to have yet read all of Dr Yildiz’s articles, but of those I have there is one stand out article. Dr Yildiz wrote about ‘How I Sustained My Motivation.’ I cannot recommend this piece highly enough as there is so much to learn from it, not only as a writer, but also as a human being. If you want to know how a born leader and visionary operates, read this.
I have to confess, as the new kid on the block, I haven’t so far had any contact with Editorial Team Leader and Spiritual Guru, Dew Langrial. However, I recently read an article of hers about the power of prayer.
As a lapsed catholic, half believer, I found her piece very enlightening and felt inspired to write a complementary piece about my own experience with this subject. That is on the back burner for now as I have various other irons in the fire so to speak. However, in the meantime, I highly recommend you take the trouble to read Dew Langrial’s article which will give you a whole lot more than a pause for thought.
I have been a fan of Rebecca Stevens A. 🦋. A since I read her for the first time. Rebecca is driven by a cause very close to my heart. And she has an indomitable spirit I admire. She also has a very cogent style and fluidity I can only hope to one day emulate.
Read ‘White men and the sexual Fetishization of Black Women’ for a taste of Rebecca’s illustrious talents as a writer and indefatigable dedication to a praiseworthy and necessary cause.
Terry Mansfield is another writer and human being I hold in very high regard. Terry, like all of the writers I mention here, is the epitome of what it is to be first and foremost, a decent human being. As a writer he demonstrates a high degree of knowledge about his chosen subjects, he does his research well. But one of the many things I love about Terry’s writings is his mischievous sense of fun. I also love his insight, and if you want to learn how to get on as a writer on Illumination or Medium, look no further than his article on Reciprocity.
Fellow editor Britni Pepper is yet another great writer we have here at Illumination. Enormous fun, self-deprecating, enormously talented writer, incredible editor….and that is just the start of it. But most impressive of all, for me at least, is her modus operandi, or MO for short. In her article ‘On Becoming An Editor’ Britni summed up beautifully why the whole team of editors and writers, led by Dr Mehmet Yildiz, do what we do.
I want to make the world a better place
Here's another from Britni you could learn a lot from.
Our reward is to see you aspiring and accomplished writers show the best version of yourselves as writers and as human beings. And here is yet another wonderful writer who can set you on course.
I don’t know if Tree Langdon, CPA, CGA knows this, but I am a secret admirer of hers. The first thing I read from Tree was an article about how she goes about writing a poem. Believe me, she knows her stuff. Read and learn. And if you want to learn how to get on as a writer and as a person, to be a good human being, you can do no better than to read Tree’s article ‘ Pay it forward and grow your readership, more image tips.’
Geetika Sethi….this woman is a legend in the editorial room and as a writer on Illumination. She just brings such sparkle and joy to all of us. Geetika is the sort of person who enters a room and lights the whole place up. I actually am not entirely sure how to pronounce her name, with a soft or a hard ‘G’. What I am sure of is that she is like the perfect mom, loving, supportive and totally positive and in love with life. Wherever Geetika goes, the place glows. I cannot thank her enough for her support and guidance as a writer and fellow editor.
If you want to get a feel of Geetika’s sparkle and joy just go to her lovely poetry. Like myself and others, you cannot be but effected by that warming glow.
I feel highly privileged to be, as a fellow Illumination writer and editor, amongst the people mentioned above, and quite a few more, like the following editors and writers par excellence Joe Luca, Agnes Laurens Tony Young, Jr. CR Mandler MAT Dr John Rose.
I also feel compelled to mention Robert Trakofler who is a recent newcomer to the ranks of Illumination. I came across Robert by chance in my work as an editor after he submitted a poem, Motion, which which I have to say blew me away completely. The fact that, like me, he is also a musician was an added bonus. The man is a highly talented writer and wise beyond mere words.
And another relative newcomer I have to mention is Victoria Ichizli-Bartels, Ph.D.who has already established herself as a writer of some illuminating articles. Like Robert, Victoria is definitely one to follow.
Of course, there are a great many more superb writers here, but I'm afraid I have limitations of time set against me. Perhaps I should do a regular review like this so that I can include all who have touched or impressed me. All that I can say as an Illumination reader is, and now my heart is full.
As for myself, I am but a minnow in a beautiful luminous blue ocean of elegant dolphins. I just hope they don’t swallow me all up as I float by totally entranced by their mesmerising talents and human qualities. I truly am in awe of every single one of them.
