Some Can Only Dream

Poetry of inequality

Photo by Daniele Buso on Unsplash

You have been so able to believe in many things

Some can only dream of when they’ve had a drink.

And even then no alcohol can really blur the world especially if your life was all geared up for grief.

Still, you have been supported and escorted, entertained and felt all kinds of special care since you were born.

If you could make a film and then just plant that in my brain It may appear that I was loved right here before.

I’d never need to exorcise a single ghost or die here at the terminal that I don’t want to see.

Why is time some kind of cruel experiment

The privileged get to save themselves while others find no peace.
