Soaring Above to See the Beauty

Finding a new vantage point

Photo by Vidar Nordli-Mathisen on Unsplash

I see from a place I do not see clearly: things in front, to the side, and behind, fiddling with what I can see.

There are thoughtless thoughts, thoughts from another, and thoughts from the distant past spinning in our minds, interfering with what we can catch right in sight to see.

We find imagination and fantasy distorting actuality, making our fantasy reality, living in unreality, dreaming away the gift of the moment, a refuge to hide from life, warping what is truly there to see.

There are vain thoughts and pride, egoism working overtime, and an idle and self-centered mind, making a blight of what is obvious to see.

Free the Spirit and our soul, pushing littleness and fears aside, accepting all there is that makes up who we are, lightening the burden, allowing us to fly to new heights, experiencing a more expansive vision of thought, leaving the before behind, and traveling to a fresh vantage point above it all, enabling us to experience the beauty of life and to love and see (again).
