Snowflake launches ServiceNow Connector
How Snowflake wants to empower Businesses through Data Driven Decisions

A very interesting collaboration or integration of the two systems is announced here by Snowflake.
ServiceNow is a cloud-based IT service management (ITSM) platform that enables companies to automate and optimize their IT service processes. ServiceNow’s strength lies in its ability to unite different business units on a single platform and provide a unified view of enterprise processes. The platform offers a variety of modules and functions ranging from ITSM and IT operations to service desk management and IT financial management.

ServiceNow also enables the automation of processes across different departments to improve efficiency and service quality. Of course, a lot of interesting data is generated here, which makes it possible, for example, to analyze internal processes and uncover weaknesses and potentials, as well as KPIs from e.g. financial data can be enabled, as many other exciting usa cases.
And this is exactly where Snowflake comes in, by now offering a Connector to analyze the data from ServiceNow with its Cloud Data Warehouse. Snowflake promises that the native Snowflake Connector for ServiceNow can get you ServiceNow data directly in your Snowflake account in just a few easy steps [2]:

The whole thing is of course very interesting. Firstly, because it really works via a native connector, so you don’t have to build any complex ETL or ELT processes yourself and secondly because it combines an interesting system with a lot of valuable data with a very powerful analytics platform. So this is a very interesting feature that Snowflake offers. The only downside is that it is still in preview. That means you can test it but possibly not use it yet as a productive system. Here, it is probably recommended to wait for the official general available status.
