Sing for Me Mask and Gloves

A whimsical madrigal concerning a need to protect against the spread of disease.

Mask and gloves, Mask and gloves, We like to wear our masks and gloves. When we go out to the store. We must wear them all the more.

Mask and gloves, Our masks and gloves, We love to wear our mask and gloves. Among walks with nature and in a car. We like to wear them out so far.

Mask and gloves, These great masks and gloves, We enjoy wearing masks and gloves. They will keep the virus out of town. While we wear them without a gown.

These masks and gloves are forever safe. Masks and gloves give our world some faith.

The above madrigal poem was inspired during the first few months of the pandemic of 2020 while shopping at the local store in search of toilet paper (which was sold out) and observing everyone wearing a mask with surgical gloves. It was our attempt at normalizing a dystopian reality that day with my girlfriend.
