Simple Truths About Life That Young People Probably Need to Hear

All you lack in life is a good mentor with no subscription fee.

Many things we learn in life when it’s too late. And as we don’t have any rewind button, we cannot undo what is already done. But yes, we can make our future better by enhancing our understanding of life and learning from past mistakes.

From my experiences, I can say that knowing a few things beforehand can help you tremendously and make your life easier and less troublesome. When I look back at my earlier years in life, I see that many of the thoughts I had that time have completely changed over time as life unfolds gradually in front of me.

With time, we surely gain new perspectives, and our thoughts grow stronger roots that stand solid, and unbreakable. We can see more clearly what went wrong in those past years and why. And we can offer help to other people avoid the mistakes we made.

Anyway, in this article, I will share a few things that can help you understand your journey of life better and save you from unexpected situations or life events. And I am pretty sure that if you become aware of all the things said in the following and act accordingly, you will never crash-land in life.

Now, let’s jump into it right away.

You Are Your Perception of Money

Have you ever thought about your perception of money?

It is tough to realize when you are younger because most of us possess a lifelong fantasy of being a millionaire or billionaire. We associate money with success and blindly follow any path that leads us to that direction. And we start to ignore every other thing life offers.

It is understandable that without money, no one can run a decent life. But again, earning more cannot be your ultimate goal — because how you see money defines you, your life, and your actions.

If making more money becomes your ultimate goal, you will end up over-working, running from one business to another, and struggle to keep a good relationship with your friends and family. Eventually, you will fall into an endless loop of earning more and start to judge other people based on their possessions. You will have no time to stay calm and enjoy a day passing by.

On the other hand, if you see money as just a necessary tool to lead a life and don’t run after that all the time, you will have a relatively calm lifestyle. You will enjoy your time and work, and your relationships with your friends and family will be wonderful. You will give experiences more priority than being in a constant race for more possessions. Your heart will become content with what you have though you will miss the spotlight and have less exposure than those who earn millions.

What I am saying is you can choose any of the two. And what you choose will define the rest of your life. That’s why you need to make the right decision for yourself and become aware of its consequences.

Your Successful Friends Have Their Fair Share of Shits

Your friends’ life is not exactly what you see on their Instagram or Facebook profiles. Life is tough for everyone. Maybe you don’t always see the struggle upfront and, therefore, conclude by saying they are just lucky. But they are not.

People struggle in different phases of life, and sometimes it gets unbearable. And not all struggle is seen from the outside. When you don’t earn much, it’s easy for you to have a conclusion in mind that those who earn better have no problems in life. But the reality is far from what you think. They may have family issues, continuous unhappiness, mental discomfort, relationship problems, poor health condition, and more.

The point is — you hardly know what the other person is having in mind or dealing with in life. That’s why you should not judge people too quickly based on how they appear before you. Remember, everyone has their fair share of shits, and life is like that. No one is 100% lucky, and of course, no one is 100% unlucky.

So, always respect other people and do not come to a conclusion too quickly. Maybe when you know their stories, your eyes will get wet, and you will feel embarrassed by your previous thinking.

All You Lack in Life Is a Good Mentor With No Subscription Fee

It’s a very crucial thing that almost nobody tells you about. A good mentor is a blessing for life. And everyone needs a mentor to unload their burden and seek help and advice. Well, just to be clear, I’m not talking about the subscription-dependent mentors you find online. Admit it or not, every one of us has our ‘tough time’ in life when nothing works out. That time, a mentor can help you understand the situation from a third point of view and give you advice that may help you gain your lost confidence.

The earlier you understand that you need a mentor, the better. You will be more empowered and confident in life, and when any unprecedented circumstances come, you will not feel lonely and left out in the desert. Your mentor will give your mental support and the strength to carry on.

Networking Can Give You Unexpected Gifts

In this competitive world, you cannot ignore the power of networking. Networking does not necessarily mean that your need to be too formal in your way of communication and try to connect to every person you see around.
