“Nothing to say?” Lorenzo smirks at you.
He tightens his hand and your chest constricts, increasing your pulse and making it difficult to draw breath. It’s as though your heart itself is in his insidious grip.
“Last chance to beg for mercy…” The wizard says with a twisted grin. “Better not waste it.”
You say nothing, refusing to grovel before your captor.
Lorenzo squeezes his hand again, wringing the life out of you, but you remain silent.
Eventually the sorcerer relents, looking a little disappointed.
“Fine.” He turns back to the mountain. “Now follow me… there are tasks that need tending.”
