sand between my toes wind against my skin in silence I hear the sound of the earth of nature the hum of the earth and all it’s beings waiting for me to tune in and be connected to understand I am a part of it all hello everyone a bird laughs a dragonfly lifts its wings a seed cracks open they have been waiting for me to understand I am a part of it all a bug bites me I get snagged by a cactus the spike pierces my skin blood drips to the earth clouds roll by the sun rises a new day is born I hug myself I hug the world I hug the sky I hug you I love the moon and all her phases and when night descends I hug the darkness too the stars show me light they twinkle and sparkle and promise me there is so much more than we can ever imagine
