Summary

The poem "Her Wish" reflects on a young girl's desire for companionship and care, while maintaining an air of mystery about her deeper wishes.

Abstract

"Her Wish" is a poetic exploration of a girl's yearning for a partner who will be her constant support, offering care and attention throughout her life's journey. The poem delves into the innocence of her demands for affection and the joy her partner finds in fulfilling them. However, it also hints at moments of playful naughtiness where her wishes remain private, suggesting a deeper, unexpressed layer of her desires that adds complexity to their relationship.

Opinions

  • The poem conveys a sense of normalcy in a girl's quest for a supportive partner in life.
  • It touches on the idea that the girl's need for physical closeness, such as being carried on slippery roads, is endearing and enjoyable for her partner.
  • There is an underlying theme of the girl's privacy and the mystery of her unexpressed wishes, which are deemed strictly private.
  • The poem suggests that while the girl's partner is attentive and supportive, there are aspects of her desires that remain unspoken and perhaps not fully understood by him.

She Was Naughty …

There’s nothing abnormal for a girl of her age to seek a supportive hand which would follow her feet in every step of life. Simply wherever she goes. Will take care in rough weather. She is looking for a partner who’ll take care of her during the day and night as well

There was nothing wrong when she demanded his attention. It may be an attractive idea if she had wanted to be carried in his robust arms or shoulders, when the road was slippery. He enjoyed all those moments. In fact, he awaits opportunities.

But, at times she was naughty. There are awkward moments when he fails to understand what should he do afterward! Sorry, I cannot tell you about those wishes of her in detail. They’re tagged ‘strictly private’!
