She Gave a Voice to the Silence
each word an anchor

she gave a voice to the silence from the shame each word an assurance
she writes to heal
she gave a voice to the bitterness from the disgust each word affirmed
she gave a voice to the hopelessness from the despair each word a breathe
she writes to hope
she gave a voice to the loneliness from the isolation each word a companion
she gave a voice to the emptiness from the void each word a guide
she writes to inspire
she gave a voice to the courage from the rejection each word validation
she gave a voice to the strength from the fear each word a resolve
she writes to live
she gave a voice to the future from her plans each word a road map
she gave a voice to creativity from her intuition each word a path
she writes because she always has through the ungodly hours and bleak days through the triumphs and failures writing journeyed with her
she writes because she can’t not write.
With subliminal inspiration from a poem by David Majister.
