POEM OF LETTING GO

Send My Burden to the Moon

Is my burden heavier because of gravity, or do I still need to let go and let it take flight?

How long must I await lift off Burdens build as I prepare What pulls it further down inside me Gravity or waning care

Countdown to weightless relief My training built on faith alone Courage lifted and repeat Through this mission, I have grown

When this burden multiplies It’s time to starve its oxygen supply Rip it clean from the bone No helmet, say goodbye, and let it fly

Ignite at launch, burn through the pain Forces fight but discard your fear Your spirit’s carried higher and lighter This stage is over; your mind is clear
