POETRY / POETRY PROMPT
Seek the Silver Lining
Equanimity can be found if you alter your perspective
Perhaps there is another way to see this situation?
Everything’s not necessarily a complete disaster.
Re-evaluate the issue from a wholly new perspective
So that you can achieve a sense of calm a little faster.
Put you inner eye to use, and change your usual vision
Even though things may at first look strange from this new angle.
Challenge what you think you know, and seek the silver lining.
Transform the way you look at life, let anxieties untangle.
I often struggle with this skill, and find my mind will turn to
Vexatious thoughts that panic me and make me feel defective.
Equanimity‘s attainable with a shifting of my mindset, and
Silver linings can be found when I alter my perspective.
