Seeing One Rainbow From Above

June Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Power of One”

Freefalling past clouds and a rainbow.

I was just moving from the bench to the door of the plane when I saw the rainbow in the sky. My tandem passenger was already hanging out of the door, starting to scream when I smiled at the sight of this bright shining bow in the sky.

I couldn’t take a picture upon exiting the plane, but once we were in freefall and I had taken enough pictures of the passenger, I turned the camera and pointed the lens toward the rainbow.

That was certainly one of a kind.

Taking the shot at 200kph wasn’t perfect, especially as the GoPro was on a wide angle setting, but you can see the beauty somewhere between the clouds.
