Write

“I run, therefore I write.” — Carmen Micsa

I run 40 to 60 miles a week and write something every day because I agree with The New Yorker cartoon showing an editor sitting across a desk from a writer who looks like Charles Dickens and saying: “Make up your mind, Mr. Dickens. Was it the best of times or the worst of times? It could scarcely have been both.”

This second anthology that we will bring into the world is proof that although it’s a challenging time to be a writer, for many reasons, it’s the best time ever.

I write to process all the miracles that happen around me on a daily basis. I write to uncover the joy that dances around me on nature’s most soothing beats. I write to find deep spiritual meanings that are like gossamer threads — hard to spot right away, which is why we need to poke around life’s smooth and sharp edges to appreciate these special gifts.

As one of the authors honored to be part of the first anthology that got published last year, I feel deeply motivated to write more and be a part of this second project together with other amazing authors.

Therefore, I promise to write at least five poems, articles, and photography pieces for The Dancing Elephants Press every month, but most likely more. Should I be selected to be part of the second anthology, I will cherish the opportunity to write articles on the wonderful prompts provided, which I have done already.

An anthology of positivity and spirituality will inspire me as a writer to learn, grow, and create. My words can change someone’s life and bring more joy, which is such a gratifying feeling.

Publish

“Publishing a book is like giving birth to a new soul and spirit that will add sparkle and joy to this world.” — Carmen Micsa

For the last 10 years, I had the honor to volunteer at the San Francisco Writer’s Conference and have learned so much about the ins and out of the publishing world, which is why I also have my own publishing company and have published a tennis book entitled Change Your Grip on Life Through Tennis, and two poetry books The PR — The Poetics of Running, A Book of Poetry in Motion and Morsels of Love, A Book of Poetry and Short Form.

I am now in the process of publishing a book of inspirational short forms that I already presold 100 copies to the business down the street from my house since their funny and inspiring signs motivated me to write my fourth book — see one of my short forms that will be in the book attached.

Sharpen Your Ears, Get Rid of Your Fears — The Daily Cuppa — Medium

To sum things up, the publishing process requires knowledge, patience, and time, which is why I am very appreciative of our wonderful editors of this second anthology that will brighten our readers’ imaginations in 2023 and beyond.

Market and Sell

“If I can sell dirt as a real estate broker, I can sell our beautiful anthology.” — Carmen Micsa

What is this dirt talking about? I have already proven it with our first anthology, but here is what it means.

As a real estate broker and the CEO of my own company Dynamic Real Estate, I sell mainly homes and buildings. However, I also sell dirt land for anyone looking to build their dream home. Location is obviously key for me to convince my clients to spend hundreds of dollars for a bare piece of land, which is similar to our writing project for three reasons:

  1. Presentation of our book
  2. Quality of writing and ideas
  3. Solid marketing includes regular channels, such as social media and the internet, but also word of mouth, which is the best-selling technique in any business.

Whether I sell dirt land or our lovely book, I will work hard on my writing, and marketing, while being the best team player that I can be.

Thank you so much for your consideration and for allowing me to sprinkle seeds of spiritual sunshine.

I think the world really needs it, so let’s get going and write, publish, and sell this second anthology!

I am honored to be part of The Dancing Elephant Publication and have five of my essays published in Holistic Journey Toward Wellness, a wonderful anthology that Dr. Gabriella Korosi, Sharing Randomly, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and Dr. Preeti Singh put together.

Please buy it and enjoy its positivity year-long.
