“Quality of life begins between your ears.” — Street sign by the Midas auto repair

This is the type of quote that makes me pause and think because it says: hear me out!

Listening is one of those rare qualities that few people possess anymore. It is the holy grail that brings us closer to God and mankind.

While I can’t say that I am the greatest listener, I work hard to hone my listening skills, sharpening them every day, as if knives that can be easily sharpened by the right tool.

And maybe that’s all it takes to become a better listener: a sharpener that can simply work its magic and transform our ears into funnels of retained information, emotions, and fears.

Go ahead: get rid of your fears and sharpen your ears!
