Scorched Earth

Geneva had two modes: love and scorched earth…

This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Crush Hundo Edition’s word prompt. Today’s word is SCORCHED.

Geneva was livid. She caught her boyfriend with her roommate.

She came home ready to set up a surprise for his birthday. She bought champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and new lingerie.

She shuffled things around as she attempted to open the door. And that’s when she saw them through the window, rolling around on the couch.

The thing you need to know about Geneva is, she had two modes: love and scorched earth.

She swung open the door, took a deep breath in and blew out hell fire. The couch went up in flames, and their screaming bodies with it.

This 26th drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
