Scheduling a Medium Post to Publish
How to schedule a Medium post to be published at a particular time and date

One of the most overlooked functions of posting a story on Medium is the ability to schedule the exact date and time of that post.
Why Would Scheduling a Medium Article be Advantageous?
- You are trying to post on a regular basis (maybe a 30 day writing challenge) but know in advance you will be out of town or not able to reach your computer a certain day.
- You have found a specific time where your content gains the most attention from your readers.
- Creative streaks are often irregular. You may write 3 amazing posts within 24 hours and then nothing for several days. Medium’s scheduling tool lets you stagger the publication of those posts, so you are not inundating readers with too much content in a short period of time.
How do you use Medium’s scheduling tool?
1. When you have completed a post you want to publish press the “Ready to publish” button in the upper right hand corner of your draft.

2. Click the “schedule for later” button.

3. Enter the date and time when you want to publish your article.

4. Click the “Schedule to publish” button.

You can verify that you post is scheduled by looking in your personal story drafts or in your publication’s stories section:
