Scared of Them, But Never Her

Poetry

Photo by Andrew Haimerl (andrewnef) on Unsplash

I was scared of you Scared to tell you the horrible truth About you You never knew

But that’s what we do We always take it out on her It’s easier

It doesn’t solve the problem It doesn’t close the gap But it helps us in the temporary Until we realize We are always stuck in the same place Or out of this world Gone into the dark space

I wonder Could I save you? Would you even let me? You hated me You hated her You hated everything that was the truth You wanted to go under You only wanted destruction And that was always your malfunction
