Scalable Systems #9
Invest in systems that scale

Good morning, everyone!
Welcome to a new week and a great list of impeccable writing to learn from.
This week, there’s a lot of advice for personal development and work productivity.
On Scalable Systems
There are several analogies I use to understand how Medium works and to get the most from the platform.
To create good articles, I consider Medium to be a farm. I need to invest in good seeds, sow them, and add fertilizer and water to see them grow into mature crops.
Your seeds are your ideas. Writing is an act of sowing. Adding water and fertilizer is working on your craft. Your articles are the mature crops ready to be sold.
Medium will help you hone your craft as a writer who can be relevant beyond the platform.
To get more reads, I consider Medium to be a market. Each new read represents a sale for my product (article).
However, this is where everything becomes murky. How do you get your work out there?
This is where distribution systems come into play.
That is why I encourage all community members to be part of several reading groups to distribute their work.
Scale your distribution.
Join Be Open and network with many other writers.
Engage in organic reading on topics you love and get your name out there. Genuinely engage with other writers. This is what will make you relevant.
Most importantly, network with us in this community for the mutual benefit of not only getting your work out there but also, receiving critical feedback when necessary.
This is the only community where you are encouraged to disagree with one another to improve.
So, let us learn from one another and grow into seasoned writers and great authors.
We only list articles weekly so that you can focus more on writing good content and engaging with others on different platforms.
On Growth of the Community
We are currently 16 and will gradually grow to our limit of 20.
We will keep the group intentionally small so that you can focus on writing more and engaging with other writers in different reading groups.
