Why Does Each of Us Have Different Destiny?

Have you ever wondered why each of us has a different destiny, even for the twins whose timing is merely a minute's difference?

Let’s explore it through the lens of I-Ching.

What is I-Ching?

The I Ching has served for thousands of years as a philosophical taxonomy of the universe, a guide to an ethical life, a manual for rulers, and an oracle of one’s personal future and the future of the state.

It generated endless Confucian, Taoist, Buddhist, and, later, even Christian commentaries and competing schools of thought within those traditions.

In China and East Asia, it has been by far the most consulted of all books, in the belief that it can explain everything. In the West, it has been known for over three hundred years.

Let’s dive into the fun metaphor to explore why each of us has a different destiny.

1. Human A

Human A: Hi Creator, what's my mission to earth this time around?

Creator: You have done many good deeds in your past lives. Your family ancestors have accumulated a lot of good karma in their lifetimes with lots of good deeds and helped many people.

You don’t have much negative karma to repay. I shall bless you with wisdom, plentiful good karma, high EQ and IQ, and a healthy body.

This is the grand formula to be on the winning team on earth.

You will have the resilience to face life's challenges. You will make wise choices leading you to an abundant life. Your charisma will make you popular and attract good people who can help you to achieve your goal easier.

You will be born into a happy family with lots of love and encouragement. Your parents will be loving couples and guide you growing up, this will further enhance your chances of success into your adulthood.

You will excel academically, be happily married, and have lovely and healthy children. Your life will be filled with happiness and love, financially abundantly.

You won’t go through a lot of harsh life lessons to learn about life and to enjoy what life on earth can offer. You’ll just be lucky!

Hence, you won’t comprehend the stuff about karma, fate, the Law of Vibration/Attraction, spiritual awakening, etc.

This time you’re going to earth to enjoy and party!

Human A: Yoo-hoo! Thank you, Creator!

Creator: But take note though, don’t squander your good karma away! Attitudes like being arrogant, slanderous, bullying, stingy, not helpful, cheating, etc., will be discounted from your book of karma. You will have to repay in your next life, which means your next journey to earth.

2. Human B

Creator: Next!

Human B: How about me, Creator?

Creator: You have a mixture of good and bad karma in equal. So, in this lifetime you'll live a very ordinary life. Neither on the winning team nor the losing team on earth.

You’ll have average EQ and IQ, and a healthy physique. Good enough for you to weather the challenges in life.

You'll be born into a poor family but hardworking and wise parents. They shall give you a reasonably good education which enable you to turn your life around.

You’ll have to work hard and smart for everything you want. Things don’t come easily for you but with determination, you will attain financial stability.

Keep doing more good deeds and you shall have a more balanced book of karma in your next life.

At times you may wonder why you need to work so hard to get what you want, is it because of your karma? You will delve deeper into such topics.

3. Human C

Creator: Next!

Human C: Yes, Creator?

Creator: Hmmm, you have a negative in the book of karma. Not all are your own doing from your past lives, some are from your family ancestors. You’ll need to break away from the Generational Trauma.

Generational trauma — is a cycle of trauma that passes through families or to the next generations.

You will have a below-average EQ and IQ, and a weak body. This will pose a lot of challenges in your life.

Tighten your seatbelt!

You’ll be born into a very poor family and an unhappily married couple. They will always quarrel and fight. This will leave a negative imprint on you about relationships and marriage.

Your timid, highly sensitive, and introverted nature will pose a great challenge to your interpersonal skills. This will lead to many obstacles in the human jungle on earth.

However, your life will turn for the better after you’ve repaid your negative karma. Your book of karma will be balanced.

So, be patient, be strong, and keep working hard to overcome all the hurdles! You’ll make it! I will never give you more than you can handle!

Your challenging life that hovers almost your whole life makes you very keen on exploring topics like the Law of Vibration/Attraction, spirituality, etc.

Parting words

These are some thoughts that came to my mind as to why some people are more successful than others; from the very foundation of their characters, and my question about the unfairness in life is answered.

This also explains why different people have different perspectives on life; as most people will only judge based on their life experiences.

However, this doesn’t mean all is set in stone. We all have free will. If we respond to what happens to us appropriately and make wise decisions in life, we can steer ourselves to the lives we desire and co-create our destinies.
