Say It Succinctly
I accept the challenge.

Just caught an email notification about a fun challenge: craft a ten-word story.
But it’s more than that. It’s a way to connect and continue building community here on Medium. So keeping this one really short, and using Lady Dr. Gabriella Korosi as inspiration, here goes:
This fierce guerrera knew the ancestors would always guide her.
Jumping on Gabriella’s words “stepping forward into the unknown future awakened her inner sight,” I thought of adding my own spin to what her story brought up. Reading that line made me think of how fear of the unknown can cause a range of emotions: trepidation, uneasiness, and paralyzation.
Understanding how powerful we are as women, I wanted to create my own short around feelings of empowerment and fearlessness. Guerrera is what my people use to describe a warrior woman.
Because the world needs more of us.
To catch a few of the gems on this ten-word story challenge, check out Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles Some Self-Talk, Some Self-Motivation. Taking another spin on it, Vidya shares five 10-word haikus.
Here’s Gabriella’s article Short and Sweet. It’s what inspired me to take the challenge.
Then there’s Deb Fiore’s How Do I Write This Ten-Word Story. I really like this one because Deb gives us her story using ten 10-word sentences.
Finally, where it all began Tree Langdon’s The Agony of Concise Writing.
Note: it turns out, by checking Tree’s article, the challenge goes further back. So in gratitude, I’d like to tag Matt Patton, Jennifer Barrios Tettay, Ben Ulansey, Sheri Jacobs.
Wanting to keep the creativity flowing, I’m inviting Mario López-Goicoechea, Mike Lewis, Fanae-5, MSML, Johnny Silvercloud, Sam Finlayson, Omy, Chiara Bottino, Elephant Journal, Dr Mehmet Yildiz, Leah Njoki, Laura M. Quainoo, Arturo Dominguez, Dr. Preeti Singh
