SPRING REPORT WEEK 9.1
Saturating your senses with tulips in Morges, Switzerland
Morges, the same town that hosts a celebration for dahlias after the summer, runs one for tulips in spring. Come and see the stunning variety of colors and shapes these flowers can offer.
Every April and May, the always-flowered town of Morges holds the Fête de la tulipe, a celebration dedicated to showcasing tulips of all possible colors, shapes and sizes. It was extremely difficult to choose which photographs to include; so my selection is just… well, a bit long!
Morges: The flowery town
I showed you earlier that the town of Morges is always decorated with flowers, especially at the end of the summer when dahlias bloom everywhere:
Well, now in spring, this is the kind of views you get as you enter Morges:
Tulips here, tulips there. Tulips everywhere. Of all colors, of all possible shapes. Small or big, always softly fragrant.
Saturating your senses at the Fête de la tulipe
But in this particular place, it is just crazy. A full park and celebration dedicated to this bulb flower. It’s the 52nd edition this year:

Here’s a small selection of flowers I liked most. But it was extremely difficult to pick just a few…
Warning: blast of tulips ahead!

Looking up

These looking up shots were inspired by Anne Bonfert’s prompt last year, in which I participated with two stories:
