Salad plants in and out in my balcony’s edible garden

I just harvested corn salad and planted lettuce.

Here’s a brief update from the balcony garden, touching on leaves and salads. I just harvested my first corn salad -ever, because I had never grown it before.

Here are shots before and after I attacked my pots:

A question to gardeners experienced with corn salad: do you think these plants will shoot new leaves? I hope they will!

Nevermind if they don’t. At least I enjoyed these leaves very much in this salad with cheese:

Corn salad out, lettuce in

I bought a rack with 12 lettuce plants of my favorite type: the one that with red leaves shaped like oak tree leaves (what do you call them in English?):

I planted these 12 lettuce plants in various locations of the balcony, as I’m not very sure what they will like.

For example, one of them is next to the red basil I’m growing from a cutting, on the other side of the same pot where I’m re-growing a lettuce plant I ate a month ago:

Others went together with some remaining corn salad plants, at the edge of the balcony. This location might be too exposed and windy… We’ll see…

Yet other plants are mixed with various other plants in their pots.

In the meantime, strawberries thrive!

While drafting this story close to the window that faces the balcony, I noticed how many fruits I’ll be able to harvest in the next days, probably starting tomorrow!
