Week six of the photography challenge
This past week has been fascinating, exciting, and simply perfect. It’s been six weeks now since I joined Dennett on the photography challenge. Every week I am posting seven photographs. Seven photographs out of my daily life.

It isn’t the first time you’ve seen the little furry animal. She’s been on several captures before and greets me every morning in front of my flat. There are two other cats in the area, but she clearly owns the property. This is her territory.

Just seeing these clouds rising above our heads should have been a warning that something was going to happen today. They kept on aising and formed into thunderstorm-like clouds. It didn’t take long before the sky got dark and all hell broke loose.
Time to stop the operation for us. As an outdoor activity, we are more than just dependent on the weather. The weather owns us. Basically. That’s why there is nothing else we can do but wait until it’s over.

After publishing the two articles last week about my life, I received a few interesting comments. I never thought about the fact that my readers might be curious about what I do for living.
“And I’m glad that I know what you do for work because I must admit I was curious. I had some wild guesses, like a shepherdess (maybe because of the pastoral beauty of your village.) Lol, I was so off :D But being a skydiver instructor is so cool!” — Helen Olivier
So now I actually wanted to take a picture of the herd of sheep that is always grazing in my valley, but they might have moved into a corner where I didn’t find them. Instead of the sheep, I found a few goats though which would also fit the life of a shepherdess. That isn’t my life, but part of my life is definitely seeing and hearing these animals every day.
I love this village and its surrounding.

And then finally it happened. After three months of separation due to the pandemic, I was finally reunited with my partner again. It was a long and difficult journey for him. Not just because of the distance he had to cover but also because of all the obstacles he had to master in order to get the paperwork to come to Germany.
Now I can finally show him around this beautiful village and go on hikes in the forest. I know he loves nature and especially the green scenery we have to offer in this part of Germany.

Coming from the desert rain is something fascinating for my partner. And I actually also learned to appreciate rain due to the years of living in the desert. On his first day back in Germany it started raining and he went right away outside. To experience it. To feel the rain.

These bluebells were growing on the gravel road I was walking on. Not caring about people or cars which pass by sometimes. They decided to grow right there and they will bloom majestically.
I love them. Tiny flowers. But yet so beautiful.

I always love these plants and flowers which grow in between walls and bricks. They are a sign to never give up. To go your way. And even if everyone says something isn’t possible, just do it. Show them differently.
Be yourself. Be different. Be unique.
“Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.” — Oscar Wilde
Thank you for reading. If you want to join the challenge simply choose every day one photograph out of your daily life. One week long. And share them with us!
