Misty Mornings
Week four of the photographic documentary
My new hobby is to find every week seven photographs for the photography challenge. The challenge “seven photographs in seven days” was started by Dennett. It’s week number four now for me.
This week the weather was a bit unstable. After weeks of dry heat, we got some desperately needed rain. I woke up in the mornings seeing the clouds hanging on the mountain or mist hovering above the trees.

After an early morning rain, some raindrops stayed on these beautiful roses. I chose to capture them from behind. A different angle for a different view onto life. There is always more than one way to look at things. Choose the one you like the most!

It’s rather simple. A green leaf. Some drops of water. And yet it is more than that. It is part of something called nature. The most amazing thing on earth. Stunningly beautiful. Always impressing.

This was one of the misty mornings. The mist wasn’t gone yet. Not completely. It had stopped raining early in the morning. But lots of moisture was collected by the forest. And this moisture was raising up as soon as the sun came up.
I love these gloomy mornings. They always promise you a wonderful day ahead. And they make me smile.

I’ve shown pictures of the cats in my neighborhood before. There are usually the same two in my area. This one always greets me in the morning when I go to work. During lunchtime, she would sit on top of this car waiting until the late afternoon. Waiting for me to come home.
Then she would leave her comfy place and disappear in the bushes. Now and then she also walks into my flat. Since my door is always open. She is obviously welcome to come in.
While I was typing this article I saw a shadow next to me. The sun was standing low on the horizon and created long shadows. This cat walks in. Looks at me. Walks slowly into my bedroom. Looks into the mirror, turns around, and slowly steps out again.
I guess this was the supervisor. Making sure everything is still in order in this flat. Nothing to report. I hope.

On some days I simply look for the beauty in flowers. Nothing spectacular. Yet beautiful.

After a day with lots of wind a few weeks ago, lots of cones fell from the trees. The soil in the forest is covered with them now. In some places. I wonder if there are some animals feeding on them. They look quite harsh.

To finish up the week I did make it to another beautiful sunset. The sunsets might not be as impressive as in Africa. But that is because of the vibe surrounding you. The colors on the sky can still impress me. Even in good old Germany.
This has been my week in photographs. I hope you enjoyed it and I invite you to join the challenge. It’s a lot of fun. Looking for the beauty in life.
The photographs are either taken with my GoPro Hero 7 or my Canon EOS 750D DSLR camera.
