February Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Hide & Seek”
From the sky, Australia is red.
Images from space show lush continents. Even Africa and the Middle East have a mix of color tones. Australia is a dirty reddish-brown.
There’s more chemical weathering here Down Under. The outback climate is mostly dry and hot, so our population is heavily coastal. The combination of dry and hot results in rock formations with large amounts of iron.
The rocks themselves are rusting, causing Australia’s reddish hue.
We are on ancient land.
