Resolutions in 2024

Don’t watch what everybody else is doing. That’s where you’re going to start getting in your own way. Pick a spot and move toward it. If you need to check in with yourself every day or even twice a day to ensure that you haven’t drifted, just do it.

We can call this coursework. It’s a goal, and you are always going to keep that goal in front of you. Just something to remind yourself to stay on track.

It’s easy enough to turn on the internet and go from wherever your home page is off on wild tangents that have nothing to do with your goals. Perhaps, when you open your browser, you have one of those opening tabs be a website on the internet you go to that allows you to continue progress on one or more of your goals? I could swap out my CNN tab for Rosetta Stone. I don’t like what I read on the news anyway. There is no good news anywhere.

It’s early on in the year right now. I spent the last couple of weeks of last year picking out goals for myself. I’ve already forgotten what they were. So, to fix this, I need something to look at. It does not need to be a long piece to read every day. You’d go eye blind with that. After a few days, you wouldn’t be reading it anymore. I can guarantee that. What you might use is one word for each goal. Or, if there are too many goals just pick out five to start with.
